gesundheit

With the swine-flu pandemic at the forefront of international news at the time, the Advertising Agency
180 Amsterdam challenged creative people from all over the world to supply them with their artistic
interpretation of a sneeze.

The idea spread like a virus.

Gesundheit was an ongoing art project that was open to anyone in the creative industry. It aimed to be the biggest artistic study of sneezing to date. 180 were aiming to launch the project in Amsterdam / London in a gallery space where they would auction off the artworks to raise money for a charity involved in the Swine-flu pandemic.

This was my interpretation of the brief, the idea that someone would be drinking a cup of tea, to then be caught short, their sneeze blowing the top
off their drink. I shot these using flash & obviously a very fast shutter speed.

This was published in Creative Review who did a write up on the project.
