Mark Brumell Photography
My work comes from many areas –

Companies & organisations –
Explaining their story in pictures for advertising & promoting themselves.
This documentary approach adds a 'feel good' insight into the day to day running of a business.

It is too easy to just show an 'end product' as a photographic solution for advertising what a company does.

Explaining a process (without giving away trade secrets), is a form of celebrating the craft which the
company is known for. This is much more subtle than 'product shots' and has more impact on prospective
& existing clients. Documentary pictures add a human contact feeling.

People THINK when reading words but they FEEL when they see good relevant photographic imagery.

Telling a story in pictures or simply 'showing' what goes on in a company using pictures, is a way of
bridging a gap when an organisation does not have a 'tangible' product, ie a solicitors or insurance firm –
'these are the people who I could (or do) use to insure my company'.

If you are a manufacturer or, say a carpenter, my photography celebrates the craft of getting to the end result.

If you want to reach out to your customers in the most effective way, then you have to use an honest language
in imagery. Documentary pictures achieve exactly this.

For examples of this, look at the work I have done for Les Ambassadeurs on Park Lane London, the worlds
oldest casino, where Ian Flemming's first James Bond film, 'Doctor No' was filmed, it has five types of cuisine
from around the world and interiors to match the calibre of the food, beverages, customers, and people who
work there. The photography was deployed on their website and in printed brochures.

Or look at Kashket & Partners, the Royal Wedding Tailors. The commission shows the day to day running
at one of the world's most well known tailors, showing the human aspect to an establishment that in the
same business sector would not normally show anything other than 'the finished article'.

There are many more examples of 'explaining what a company does in pictures' on this website.

Film & Television production companies –
Under the section 'music/film stills', here are some commissions where I am celebrating the huge
amount of effort that goes into the making of a film or television drama. The imagery is used for the
advertising of the film, both in print & screen use, as well as for keeping a record of the course
of events.

Portraiture –
My portrait commissions are for everybody, for individuals to promote themselves or their company.
This could be for their LinkedIn profile, their company website or brochure. I have portraits published
in Creative Review, Design Week, The Sunday Telegraph, Express and Times, as well as numerous
brochures and business magazines commissioned directly & by creative agencies.

Fashion –
Both studio and location based, I have documented shows on and off the catwalk and behind the scenes,
telling the story for fashion show producers and designers. My work has been published worldwide for
web sites and editorial.
